Hi Queen,
Now that Thanksgiving has passed my brain is already prepping for the New Year and I am working on a new vision board. Personally, I started working on my goals for 2024 back in October,if you're not sure where to start then I recommend you go back and read my previous article (Ctrl +Alt+Del) for the three questions to ask yourself that will help contribute to your goals.Recently I was listening to a podcast called Slay Girl Slay and Ashely Leggs, the Host, shared how she was inspired by a book to engage in a journaling exercise that consisted of visiting her future self. The episode was so descriptive, I was on the verge of tears. Ashely went into detail about the conversation she had with her future self. The practice was beautiful and it was a perfect reminder that what is for you will not miss you.
My present always felt haunted by things that I experienced in the past. I hadn't made peace or mentally moved on from so many things that it started to materialize in my life.I decided to visit several different past versions of myself. My mental excavation revealed just how tight my own chains were to previous traumatic experiences and it was affecting my present.
I had to tell myself that “I have always been worthy of love,and support, that I was doing my best and things that happened were not my fault. I will protect us now and it's okay to show my emotions. It's okay to dream big, love hard and go after your dreams. If you don't succeed the first time, get back up and try again. I believe in you and what you consider broken at this time, will be beautiful in the end. I love you”.
Queen, turn the page . No matter who has left you and/or hurt you,growth is coming to terms with the fact that you may never receive closure, or an apology. I have so many questions, but I do know that I serve a God who will never leave me nor forsake me. Let this be the last day you cry over who walked away.All that left you could not stay, and all that stayed could not leave. In order to move forward toward your future you have to move out of your past, this is our season of elevation.
