I can’t wait until the day I am able to send you all extravagant newsletter with beautiful templates that has hyperlinks and photos to recap fancy parties I’ve attended with the biggest celebrities on the planet. As well as share the latest PR boxes that were sent to me from some of my dream collabs: Chanel, Beis, Tiffany & Co, Target, Apple, etc. (to name a few). Listen, I might just be a girl from the southside of Chicago, but I will make my dreams come true, so you will too.
A lot of things happen in our lives and, for real, its only team me over here at Queenship HQ. I have not quite accomplished the life I envisioned for myself yet. I find myself asking God almost daily, why give me a vision if it seems impossible to attain it? It’s times like these where I must tell myself to shut up and stop downplaying all the things I have accomplished. I must stop allowing negativity to be louder than the facts, this only causes my emotions to manipulate my intelligence. We as women are always raising the bar and smashing the goals we set for ourselves, but don’t forget to give yourself credit along the way and give thanks to God. The more you fixate on the negativity the more it will show up, but gratitude is the key and peace is the real bag.
“You can’t wait to get fixed, sometimes you have to get up and win wounded. ”
It was hard to come back to a blog that doesn’t feel supported all the time, and I won’t even pretend that it doesn’t hurt. It’s not a good feeling to see people do the bare minimum for you, but they’re used to you giving them your best. However, God planted this seed for a reason, and I had to come back to this Queenship. This vision will give birth to what will stem from it, and you can’t wait to get fixed; you must get up and win wounded. I pray that God will continue to sharpen my discernment and to remove anyone and/or anything that does not bring positivity into my life. I am always surprised with who He takes from me, but I refuse to let others harden my heart.
Get honest about who you want to be and confront the person you have been, because you are planting seeds from the words you speak and someday you will have to eat that fruit. So I may not have an entire team like Lauren Conrad or Oprah to run my blog and edit my content, a PR box from Target brands (yet) two million followers on IG(yet) or go viral for sticking a hotdog up my nose (not going to happen). But this girl from the southside of Chicago has done some amazing things and inspired a couple dozen people along the way.
So to the people who have been with me since day one, thank you for coming along this journey with me and to the newcomers, welcome Queen! This is a safe space for us to laugh, cry, give thanks and grow into the person we are called to be.
